What is Paleo Plus Special Diet Raw Dog Food?

Paleo Plus Special Diet is a lean, low-fat single-protein raw dog food enriched with our unique Berry Good superfood mix and carrots. This meal comes in 500g, recyclable packs.

This product is minced not only to simplify mealtimes for you but also to ensure a gentle experience for your dog’s digestive system.

The pigs and cows featured in this product are raised with the highest care, enjoying a diet of grass and the freedom of outdoor rearing. Using animals in our products which have been raised in a natural, happy environment, creates healthier and more nutritious meals.

This chunky, raw dog food is complete to FEDIAF standards and adheres to the principles of BARF (Biologically Appropriate Raw Food).

Each 500g pack contains 10% raw bone, 10% raw offal (organ meat), 60% raw muscle meat, and 20% antioxidant superfoods with carrots included.

The Berry Good antioxidant mix of superfoods included are:

Paleo Plus Special Diet has been specially formulated to provide optimum nourishment for dogs with kidney issues and concerns.

Many pet owners turn to raw feeding in response to their pet's illnesses, with kidney disease being a prevalent concern. In cases where a dog's kidneys are not functioning optimally, there exists a potential for a dangerous accumulation of toxins, posing a life-threatening risk.

Paleo Plus Special Diet is carefully crafted to aid dogs facing kidney issues, strategically maintaining low levels of phosphorous and purine. Achieving this balance involves minimising bone content, utilising beef and pork meats (lower in phosphorus compared to turkey, chicken and fish) and carefully managing non-essential organ content. The exceptionally low purine levels also make it an optimal choice for breeds like Dalmatians.

Recognising meat as a source of purine, we have enhanced this blend with a great proportion of mixed vegetables. Carrots, which are rich in essential vitamins like A, contribute to kidney lubrication. The addition of dark berries in our Berry Good mix provides vitamin C and anti-inflammatory polyphenols, acting as mechanisms in this process.

Phosphorous, iron, potassium, zinc, and selenium are all essential minerals that are present in pork and beef, all of which help to promote good cardiovascular health and nerve health, strengthen the immune system, and maintain healthy hormones and body fluids.

Paleo Plus Special Diet is suitable for dogs of any age including puppies from 8 weeks old.

Although this meal has been specially formulated for dogs with kidney concerns, it is also suitable for healthy dogs.

Dalmatians require a specialised diet of low-purine food due to being prone to struvite crystals. The formula in this product makes it a perfect addition to your Dalmatian’s diet.

Dogs suffering from pancreatitis can be fed this meal due to the incredibly low fat content of just 4%. This lean raw dog food is also ideal for those who would like their dog to lose a few pounds!

This nutritious product is also ideal for dogs who need an immune boost, whether they have reoccurring infections, recovering from an operation, or require a bit more energy, Paleo Plus Special Diet provides a potent mix of ingredients to boost the immune system.

If you suspect or know that your dog has an intolerance to pork or any grass-fed animal, we do not recommend feeding this product.

Paleo Plus Special Diet needs to be stored in the freezer and defrosted at the bottom of the fridge, in a sealed Tupperware.

Once the food has been fully defrosted, it will last in the fridge for 2 days. Depending on how much you need to feed your dog per meal, you can either weigh this it out on scales or portion it by eye (for instance if your dog requires 250g per meal, you can feed half of the pack).
