Once we found our paws with the raw feeding, Skye's life completely changed. He was no longer itchy, his ears cleared up, the redness in his paws disappeared and he lost weight. Skye is now 7 years old going on 2 years young. He is our real life Benjamin Button and our vet and Herbal Vet cannot believe the difference in him.
Skye was a normal happy 3 year old dog, enjoying life with his family and his brother, but throughout the summer of 2018 we noticed that he was getting really dirty/waxy ears, as well as red, swollen paws, itchy skin, terrible tummy issues and gaining was gaining weight quite fast. We tried a number of ways to get his weight down and after numerous visits to the vets, we tried specialised kibble. However, that appeared to be making no difference - for either his weight or his allergies.
After talking with a few people, and also our Herbal Vet, we decided to try Skye on raw food.
This again was trial and error, as many raw foods are not single protein and also contain high contents of fruit and veg, which triggered his allergies. So our switch to raw was not as simple.
We found Paleo Ridge and read about their food - as well as their ethics. We were looking to find a stockist near us so we could try Skye on this right away.
It was a long, slow process of food elimination for Skye - each protein for 6 weeks, as long as it was agreeing with him. From this, using only single protein foods, we found out that only duck, venison, turkey and white fish agreed with Skye.
Paleo Ridge Turkey Complete is what we call "Skye's Saviour". If he ever has a relapse after eating something that has flared up his allergies, we immediately switch back to Turkey Complete and within a few days he is back to is usual self.

Switching Skye to raw food was the best decision that we have made, not just for him, but also for his brother. I dread to think what Skye would be like if we hadn't found our way to raw food when we did.
Skye is back to being a happy, healthier dog. Loving life and loving his food and this is down to his raw diet.
