September Success Stories with Raw Dog Food | Part Three

We love a good yarn here at Paleo Ridge. As a producer of raw dog food, we are passionate about raw feeding and are so happy whenever we see people's success stories with their dogs on a raw diet. We have often talked about the health benefits when it comes to feeding raw. So, we rallied the troops of our community of raw feeders, once again and we have found some stories that we wanted to share with you.

This is Raffles.

He is a thirteen-year-old Cavalier Kings Charles Spaniel, and going by the photo, he is quite the gentleman! His owner, Frances Russell sent us Raffle’s journey with Paleo Ridge raw dog food and is very pleased with how it worked out for him.

“Raffles has been raw fed since I rescued him at six years old,” Frances told us. “But, nine months ago he began to suffer with digestive problems. He developed a significant heart murmur and needed to reduce his weight.”

Raffle’s raw diet needed some change due to the issues that he was suffering. Frances reached out to us to see if we could give her a recommendation for the senior pup.

“When I contacted Paleo Ridge, they asked for his full history and came back to me with recommendations focused particularly on the Plus range, including their special diet.”

We recommended our Plus range because of its careful formulation supported by the latest scientific and nutritional research. The 5% blend of superfoods that we use in the Plus range helps the immune system of your dog, something which is very important when it comes to seniors. This benefited Raffles immensely, and Frances is happy with the results.

“Paleo Ridge’s advice and support convinced me that this was the right food for my senior dog, and I am delighted with his progress since making the switch. In May this year, we were joined by a Cavapoo puppy who was raised on Paleo Ridge.

We now have two happy dogs at both ends of the age range both enjoying their food.”

Our next ‘tail’ is from Maria Moore. She has a whole family of Irish Terriers who have been on a raw dog food journey. She begins her story with Eileen, who was pregnant with her third litter when Maria introduced her to raw feeding.

“I introduced it to Eileen when she was pregnant. She thrived on it and did not lose any condition whilst carrying and feeding her seven puppies,” Maria explained. “The puppies all took to the Paleo Ridge raw diet straight away. They never had upset tummies and their poos were not offensive and we were less frequent than my experience with previous litters. They all went home with Paleo Ridge in their puppy packs.”

It wasn’t just Eileen and her litter that are being raw fed either. Eileen’s mum Siobhan, who is twelve years old, is also on a raw diet.

“Siobhan loves her raw diet. I have seen an improvement in her coat, and she never gets stomach upsets.” Maria continued “I am so pleased that I decided to switch to raw. I feel it is the single best thing that you can do for your dog.

It is fantastic to see a whole family of our furry friends benefiting from a raw dog food diet. We wish this group of terriers well in the future!

This writer has quite an affinity for Dachshunds! To close off part two of September Success Stories, we will relay two stories, one new and a classic story which really warms the heart!

First, we have George. This little fella has been on a raw diet ever since he was a puppy, and his experience has put a smile on our face.

“My little Dachshund George has been on a raw diet since the very beginning, as I had done a lot of research prior to his arrival,” his owner Barbara Morand recounted. “He’s a very happy, healthy and energetic sausage with no health issues. He will be 3 in November and loves the Paleo Ridge Plus Surf & Turf. I highly recommend it to everyone!!!”

We go into the vault for the final Dachshund, and this story is a memorable one for us. Back in 2022, we were contacted about a lovely girl called Beti, a beautiful little Dachshund who, due to illness, lost the ability to walk.

“Our little Dachshund Beti went down with IVDD in May 2020 and lost the use of her back legs,” Beti’s owner Emma Gillim told us. “Although fully recovered, she never regained the ability to walk and with that, she had a few tummy-related and anxiety issues, plus she is unable to toilet herself.”

Poor Beti had a lot going on. It is always upsetting when a pet has life-changing consequences due to an illness. Care is of the utmost importance when it gets to this stage, and luckily Emma got some advice that positively impacted Beti’s well-being.

“We were recommended Paleo Ridge by a sausage expert and have never looked back,” Emma said. “Firstly, she absolutely loves it! It’s the only food she has consistently finished in under 60 seconds every time! Secondly, she is absolutely thriving, calmer and sleeping better but has more energy than she should have. Thirdly, the poops are just perfect, so small, hard and easy to clean up.”
