All you need to know about our brand-new puppy range of raw dog food. Infused with reishi mushroom tinctures to provide advanced benefits.
Paleo Puppy is a brand-new raw dog food addition to our Paleo Plus range, specifically designed to support the growth and development of young dogs at the most crucial time of their life. The meals are made with high quality, natural ingredients including reishi mushrooms, with no additives or preservatives.
These meals are made up of 75% meat, 10% bone, 10% offal and a 5% mix of superfoods. We have minced the meals using a 10mm plate to ensure your pup enjoys a chunky consistency.
The range includes four nutritious meals:
Each product has been carefully crafted to provide your puppy with exceptional nutrition. Once puppies have been weaned, they are ready to get their little teeth into some proper food.
Food of a paste consistency is great for weaning pups as it allows to nourish even the the smallest mouths. However, when puppies reach 8 weeks old they can start to explore and enjoy different textures (some bigger breeds from 6 weeks!).
This is why we have minced our puppy meals to a chunky consistency. Not only does it benefit you as the owner because you can actually see what is in the food, but it promotes exploration and interest in their food.
Paleo Puppy includes 3 meals which are single-protein and 1 which is mixed proteins. As with raw feeding at any age, it's important to feed a variety of different meats. Different meats contain different nutrients which therefore provides optimum nutrition.
Paleo Puppy features a 5% mix of superfoods, designed to give your puppy the healthiest start in life.
A 'superfood' is a food which contains a wide range of nutrients that provide health benefits. Superfoods contribute towards good health with their fantastic nutrient profile. This profile includes an abundance of antioxidants, which helps them to support healthy growth and ageing.
Antioxidants are molecules which protect the body from free radicals. Free radicals are compounds that can cause damage to the cells in your puppies body. This is why including antioxidant superfoods is hugely beneficial and important, especially during the early stages of growth and development.
The superfoods included are:
Reishi is a type of mushroom that has medicinal properties and is perfectly safe for dogs. The mushrooms we use are from a well established company called Bristol Fungarium. Their mushrooms are grown in organic soil and are added to our products in the form of tinctures, which are more bioavailable. Reishi, known as 'the mushroom of youth' have incredible properties which can help protect and prevent your puppies cells from oxidative damage.
Reishi contains polysaccharides that help boost the immune system and can also prevent cancer cell growth. They also contain Ganoderic Acid which slows the release of histamines which can help with allergies and itching. Reishi also has anti-inflammatory properties which can help support motility.
Puppies grow substantially in the first 12 months of their life, so it's important to provide a diet that can help to build healthy cells.
We included reishi for the above reasons and as a mean of 'protect and prevent', which is important in this day and age due to the abundance of toxins in our environment.
During the first 12 months's of your puppies' life, they experience rapid growth and development. This period sets the foundation for the future of their health as well as behaviour, so it's a critical time to focus on nourishment.
The physical changes that happen during the puppy stage are: muscle development, bone growth and the maturation of their organs. Feeding a natural, nutrient-rich diet during this developmental stage plays a crucial role in optimal growth.
As well as the physical changes, your pup will undergo cognitive development which affects behaviour. It's been scientifically proven that what you put in the gut affects the brain, the saying 'you are what you eat' rings very true. For example, a processed food diet with little to no nutrition can cause anxiety, depression, lethargy and irritability.
Your puppy is like a sponge, taking in and soaking up all that surrounds them, which is why it's important to take time to focus on their needs and what will support them as they venture into adulthood. Nutrition, guidance, discipline and love will help you puppy navigate their first year. As their pet parent, it is your responsibility to teach and guide them, as well as provide them with a delicious and nutritious diet.
Your puppy's immune system is their primary defence against pathogens that cause illness and infections. This important system consists of a complex network of organs, cells and tissues that work together to detect a threat and destroy it as quickly as possible.
During the first 3 - 6 months, your puppy's immune system is still developing, making it a crucial time for support. The more robust an immune system is, the more efficiently and effectively it will fight off illness and disease.
One of the best ways to boost your puppy's immune system is to feed them a natural raw diet. Unprocessed, nutrient-dense foods provide essential vitamins, minerals and enzymes required for healthy immunological function. Paleo Puppy includes an abundance of antioxidants which play a pivotal role in supporting the body's defence network.
Since the digestive tract houses a large proportion of immune cells, feeding a diet that nurtures gut health can significantly boost the puppy’s ability to fight off infections. Unlike heavily processed foods, a raw diet avoids unnecessary additives and fillers that can burden the immune system.
Helping your puppy build a strong immune system will set them in good stead for optimum health and wellbeing as they reach adulthood.

One of the standout features of Paleo Puppy is its versatility, catering to pups that have been weaned onto raw food and those transitioning from other diets. For puppies already accustomed to a raw diet, Paleo Puppy provides continuity with a blend of high-quality ingredients that mimic their natural feeding patterns.
For those new to raw feeding, it serves as an easy and safe introduction, ensuring a smooth transition without upsetting their digestive systems.
With its focus on premium, natural ingredients and no artificial additives or fillers, Paleo Puppy is a dependable choice to give your puppy the best start in life.
Paleo Puppy should be stored in the freezer and defrosted in a tupperware in the fridge. Once fully defrosted it should be used within 2 days.
Puppies require more food than adults to cater for their quick growth and development.
You can determine your puppy’s daily feeding amount based on their current weight. Puppies should be fed 5-6% of their body weight to support their growth and development.
Feeding a variety of different meats is important however, for the first few weeks we would recommend feeding one flavour over 5-7 days. This will allow your pup to get used to that meal before trying a new one. We don't want to introduce too many varieties too quickly as it could cause an upset tum.
Some pups may have sensitivities to certain meats, so feeding one type for 5 - 7 days will help highlight this.
Once your puppy has settled onto this range, you can feed any flavour at the frequency you feel works best for them.
Young puppies benefit from being fed little and often. As a rough guide, pups should be fed as per the following:
This is just a guide and where every dog is different you may want to feed less or more frequently depending on their preference.
It is important to remember that all pups will experience rapid growth spurts. During these periods they will be more hungry. Keep a close eye on body condition and growth. A lean pup is a healthy pup!

Whilst we should never offer dogs cooked bones ever - they splinter and can cause choking however, this year’s turkey carcass can be ‘transformed’ into a cost-effective, super nutritional health boost called Bone Broth.
