Tyler Daly says, “In 2016, we had over 120 products. That kind of variety is great for customers, but difficult to manage in a small, manual operation. We had to balance customer choice with consistency and availability. There’s no point making great products if they’re constantly out of stock.”
Through detailed range reviews and supply chain optimisation, Paleo Ridge refined its product lines, focusing on core ranges such as Classics, DIY, Puppy, and Senior, while maintaining its promise of ethically sourced, high-quality ingredients. The company’s product development process is meticulous, with new recipes taking up to a year to research, test, and perfect before launch.

To meet growing demand without sacrificing quality, Paleo Ridge has invested heavily in semi-automated production systems. When they started, everything was packed by hand, but as volumes grew, that became unviable. They needed to make more products, more efficiently, without compromising what makes Paleo Ridge special.
The company introduced automated portioning and sealing machinery, technology typically used in the wider meat industry, adapted to suit Paleo Ridge’s unique formulations. The investment has streamlined operations, improved consistency, and significantly boosted output, all while preserving the brand’s ethos.

This shift has driven the popularity of Paleo Ridge’s ready-portioned 500g packs, which suit the average daily feeding requirement of most UK dogs. The company’s focus on format, quality, and convenience has helped it reach new audiences, from long-time raw feeders to first-time pet parents.
