Packaging Information

As a company that prides itself on ethically sourced raw food for working dogs, we are also very passionate about the environment. Wrappers and packaging create a lot of waste, most of which ends up in landfill and will never break down.

All our product packaging is either compostable, biodegradable or recyclable (excludes some bagged items). We are committed to reducing our carbon footprint across every aspect of our business.

Our Paleo Plus, Classic Range 80-10-10 sleeves and card inserts for bagged items, all use eco friendly vegetable based inks, and are also compostable.

All packs are leak proof, freezer safe and have passed intensive rounds of internal testing. They stand up well to the rigours of our dog food production, freezing and couriers.

We know our customers support our stance on ethical products. We also know that they are as passionate about the environment as we are.

Some of our bones and carcasses are still double-bagged for now but we are searching for suitable environmentally friendly packaging.

A large Woolcool box holds up to 24kg. A small Woolcool box holds 8-16kg.

We offer a very popular return service for the Woolcool liners. Once you have saved 12 clean and usable pieces, we can arrange free collection. On return of 12 clean and undamaged strips, we will issue 3 loyalty points per strip to your account.

*Please note we cannot issue any reward if any of the returned strips are damaged, there is no name and address inside the box, or if you do not have an account with us*

As the first raw dog food company to introduce environmentally friendly WoolCool boxes in Aug 2017, we are very happy to announce that we have moved all orders to WoolCool as standard. This will reduce our landfill contribution by over 80%. This is a massive reduction in waste as we continue to strive to be ever-conscious of our environmental impact. WoolCool has proven to perform better than polystyrene at keeping our products frozen in transit. In addition to this, it reduces our environmental impact while doing so. The team at Paleo Ridge are very proud of this achievement and we know our customers support this too.

As an Ethical minded company that already uses compostable boxes for all our minced products, we are very excited to offer an alternative to polystyrene boxes. When it comes to the environment, Paleo Ridge choose to lead by example. We are continuously researching ways to challenge existing processes to be cleaner and greener. We must all do our bit, simply ignoring growing issues with plastic is not an option for us.
