Job Description – Paid Media and SEO Specialist

Through continued growth an exciting opportunity has arisen for a Paid Media and SEO Specialist to join our Sales and Marketing team in Waterlooville. We are looking for a talented, motivated individual to join on a permanent, full time basis, 37.5 hours per week. You will work inside of a close-knit team of exceptional people, being part of shaping a new, rapidly expanding industry.

Paleo Ridge was established in 2014 and has been on an incredible journey to become the industry’s leader in high quality, raw dog food and is widely renowned as offering the highest quality raw pet food products available on the market today. Alongside this, we have become well known for our ethical stance and environmental focus, innovating at every juncture.

You will sit at the centre of our digital marketing strategy, helping secure our primary sources of traffic through ongoing optimisation. This is a great opportunity for somebody that is passionate about Search Engine Optimisation, with the ability to setup, deliver and optimise paid media campaigns. We are targeting a range of paid media channels including Google, Bing, Facebook and other developing platforms.

Start Date: 27th September 2021

Core Responsibilities:

  • SEO – optimising on-page content
  • SEO – building our off-page presence
  • SEO – scoping technical optimisations
  • Paid Media – developing and optimising paid media campaigns, liaising with advertising providers (Google, Microsoft and Facebook) to ensure we are exploiting all advertising possibilities
  • Reporting on digital marketing performance

Additional Responsibilities:

  • CMS – updating the website with fresh content and curating existing content
  • Affiliates and Partnerships – developing our affiliate relationships and monitoring existing channels
  • Native Advertising – supporting the sharing of content through programmatic channels
  • Social Media and Influencer Engagement – supporting the social media communication plan and execution
  • Digital PR – supporting the rollout of press releases to online channels

The Ideal Candidate

This role requires a technically minded and driven SEO and PPC expert with an extremely proactive mentality. The Paid Media and SEO Specialist role is ideal for a completer-finisher that is serious about developing their digital marketing career and, as a person, be enthusiastic, positive, organised and commercially minded.

To be successful in this role you will need:

  • A minimum of three years in a relevant role (SEO, PPC or Digital Marketing)
  • Agency, freelance or in-house experience
  • Comfortable working with websites, CMS and CRM platforms
  • Experience with SEO, both on-page and off-page
  • Experience in working with paid media
  • Comfortable in reporting digital marketing insights including Google Analytics, Moz and other platforms
  • Good organisational skills and ability to prioritise according to business needs
  • Good level of IT competence
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Good, confident communication skills, both written and verbal

Preferred Experience

  • Ideally a CIM qualification or other relevant qualification
  • Adobe creative cloud skills
  • Comfortable in supervising other employees
  • Affiliate or native advertising experience
