Assistant Management Accountant

Paleo Ridge is looking for a talented and experienced Assistant Management Accountant, to join this award-winning business.

Paleo Ridge was established in 2014 and has been on an incredible journey to become our industry’s leader in high-quality, raw dog food and is widely renowned for offering the highest quality raw pet food products available on the market today. Alongside this, we have become well known for our ethical stance and environmental focus, innovating at every junction. We are now looking for a highly motivated, focused, and goal-oriented individual to join our wonderful team, on a full-time, permanent basis.

Please note, that we are based in Waterlooville, Hampshire and you must be able to commute to this location. Previous applicants need not apply

Responsibilities

Your responsibilities as Assistant Management Accountant will include:

  • Balance sheet reconciliation
  • Preparing and analysing financial KPIs
  • Assisting with and creating annual budgets
  • Working with Supply Chain on the month-end process
  • Helping organise the month-end process and accuracy of data
  • Light bookkeeping, approximately half a day a week
  • Assisting with financial reporting
  • Assisting with the weekly and monthly cashflow forecasts
  • Review, improve and optimise the finance processes
  • Provide regular reporting to the Chief Executive Officer
  • Bring skills and experience to the Finance function
  • Assisting with and organising the payment process
  • Preparing financial documents such as accounts payable/receivable
  • Completing bank reconciliation
  • Managing day to day transactions
  • Reporting on debtors and creditors
  • Monthly and weekly sales reporting

Skills and Experience

  • AAT Level 4 minimum
  • ACCA/CIMA part qualified or relevant experience preferred
  • At least two years’ experience in a financial role
  • Must have a high degree of accuracy and excellent attention to detail
  • Good knowledge of finance systems, e.g. Xero, SAP
  • Ability to prioritise workload effectively
